1. To be most effective, install the Extactor/dryer as close as possible to the machinery or air tools being used.
2. Drain valve must be ¡°weeping¡±at all times. (Approximately 1/4 turn open) This will allow water, oil and contaminants to escape from the unit at all times.
3. A noticeable pressure drop of more than 10 PSI across the unit, or the evidence of moisture in the line beyond the filter, is a indication to replace the second stage filter.
4. Redills:

Replace or clean the 1 st stage filter yearly. (Cleaning may be done with a cleaning solvent)
Replace 2 nd stage filter every 4-6 months depending on the condition of your compressed air and air lines.
When replacing filter, tighten top bolts to 25 inch lbs. In an ¡°X¡±pattern from center outward. Repeat sequence and torque to 50 inch lbs. Recheck for proper torque limit.
